Chief Officer, Livestock Information Programme
Richard Laverick joined AHDB to implement a network of monitor farms and farmer business groups across the country.
Previously with ADAS UK Ltd for over twenty years, he held senior management and leadership positions in both the research and consultancy elements of the business.
In his early career Richard was a BASIS qualified agronomist. He led the Crop Science and Environment research team at ADAS Rosemaund and specialised in industrial uses for cereal crops. Prior to joining ADAS Richard worked as a cereal Trials Officer for a major plant breeding company.
In October 2015 Richard joined the AHDB Leadership Team as Chief Technical Officer responsible for research and knowledge exchange functions across all six sectors. Richard is currently seconded to the Livestock Information Programme working with Defra and industry to implement a multispecies livestock traceability service.
